Bayonne Youth Center celebrates Martin Luther King Day

Today the Bayonne Youth Center held their 15th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. luncheon. The event was held to honor Dr. King, as well as four very special local individuals.

Erica Daughtrey, Elder Ericka Cheryl Streeter Adams, Pastor Dorothy Patterson, and Deacon William Wise were all presented with Martin Luther King awards. They were recognized for their incredible work not only on a professional level, but also on a personal level for their kindness and giving of themselves.

Many political dignitaries were in attendance, including Congressman Albio Sires, Senator Robert Menendez, Senator Sandra Cunningham, NJ Senate President Stephan Sweeney, elected officials from Bayonne, and several others. They came to honor the award recipients as well as Dr. Martin Luther King.
