James Field from Jersey City was arrested this morning after he was found sleeping inside a car parked the wrong way in the area of 74 Hudson St.
According to the Hoboken Police, officers were dispatched on a report of male sleeping outside. When officers arrived, they made several attempts to wake up the defendant, eventually he opened the door but officers had difficulty understanding the slurred words from the defendant.
Police also said that the defendant could not stand on his own and swayed side to side holding the vehicle for balance. Due to his level of intoxication, Mr Field was taken to Police headquarters for processing and was found that his blood alcohol content was above the limit. Eventually, Mr Field admitted he had been drinking in Jersey City prior to arriving into Hoboken.
Mr Field was charged for Driving while intoxicated, Wrong way on a one way and Reckless driving/Suspended license.
