Kearny arrests 18-year-old on outstanding robbery warrant out of Newark

KEARNY – An 18-year-old Kearny resident was arrested last Sunday on an outstanding $95,000 robbery warrant out of Newark.

On March 15th at around 7:30 p.m. Detective Michael Gonzales was patrolling the area of Kearny Ave. and Hampton St. when he observed an 18-year-old Kearny resident who was known to him to have an outstanding $95,000 bail warrant out of Newark for a robbery. Detective Gonzales also was familiar with the male due to previous interactions. According to officials, the male has three previous arrests for distributing suspected marijuana, theft, conspiracy, burglary and robbery.

Christopher Ochoa, 18 of Kearny, was placed under arrest and was transported to Newark to be processed.
