Kohl’s Store in Secaucus evacuated after 14 people complaint of nausea

Last night December 20th at approximately 9:00pm, Secaucus Police responded along with the Secaucus Fire Units, Jersey City Fire Units and the JC Hazmat unit, to Kohl’s Dept Store located at 3 Millcreek drive, on reports of an odor near the Cash registers causing a reaction to employees as well as some customer( complaint of Sore throat, nausea).

Kohl’s was evacuated as a precaution and the JC Hazmat unit conducted an investigation and found nothing toxic in the air. However 14 parties did complain of nausea and 2 were transported to Meadowlands Hospital for further evaluation.

At approximately 1122pm Kohl’s was reopened. The origin and cause of the odor is still being investigated. A video uploaded to Youtube by user Demonracer2 shows images and footage of the incident.
