Man charged for brandishing a gun to pizza delivery man at the Royal Motel in Secaucus

On Jan 06 at 712pm at 650 Route 3 West (Royal Motel), Police responded to investigate a report of a male who had brandished a gun at a pizza delivery employee. Police were able to locate 2 handguns and arrested 24-year-old male from Jersey City NJ, Wladmir Merlain.

He was charged with 2 counts of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon for possessing 2 handguns, 2 counts of Poss. Of Weapon for unlawful purpose, Aggravated Assault for brandishing of the handgun. Merlain was also found in possession of and charged with Poss. Of Paraphernalia, Poss. Of CDS (marijuana), and unlawful possession of ammunition. He had a Failure to Appear warrant out of JC for $500.00, and a No Bail Neglect of Child warrant out of Hudson County Sheriff’s Dept. Bail was set at $1000, 000.00 full.

Also arrested along with Merlain was 19-year-old female from Jersey City NJ, Breanna N. Andres.  She was found in possession of CDS (MDMA) and possessed Red Pepper Spray in a quantity greater than ¾ oz and as a result was charged with poss. of Weapon. Bail was set at $25,000.00 w/ 10% option. Both parties were remanded to the HC Jail.
