North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue celebrates a big day

Today the North Hudson Fire Department held a promotional ceremony, as well as unveiled new equipment.

Captain James J. Corso was promoted to Battalion Chief, in front of friends, family, colleagues, and local government officials. In addition, Jose A. Vargas, Steven A. Hillis, Brian G. Stahl, and Michael Flood, were all promoted to the rank of captain.

Furthermore, the department recently purchased four new pumper trucks and gained a new tower ladder truck from an equipment swap with the town of Secaucus.

“The greatest fire department in the county is here right now,” said North Bergen Mayor and State Senator Nicholas Sacco.
