Police called to Kearny High School after student was caught with drugs

KEARNY – Police responded to Kearny High School on April 21st on report of a student with a controlled substance, officials said. According to the police report, the student had a glass container with suspected marijuana and four Xanax pills. The student was placed under arrest for possession of suspected marijuana, possession of a prescription drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to Kearny’s Chief of Police, the student was of age but he did not want to release the name, age, and any other information.
