Port Authority Police Department promoted 79 Officers and Supervisors to Higher Ranks in Jersey City last week


Hudson TV attended the ceremony in Jersey City honoring the promotion of 79 officers and supervisors, including Raymond Bryan who was promoted to Deputy Chief and Ronald Shindel who was promoted to Deputy Inspector.
The remaining 77 officers were promoted to the ranks of Detective Lieutenant (2); Detective Sergeant (4); Lieutenant (18); Sergeant (41) and Detective (12).  The promotions will backfill the 87 supervisory  officers who retired since the department’s last round of promotions.

The Port Authority Police Department is responsible for protecting the traveling public who use the agency’s major airports, tunnels, bridges, seaport and PATH system.  The PAPD also patrols the World Trade Center site.”
