This week’s Blotter: Man arrested for stealing 36 boxes of condoms, Woman attempts to steal and flee but leaves ID behind

hoboken pd 2On July 19th at around 4:29 p.m., a 2-alarm fire started in a two-family building located tag 366 Armstrong Avenue in Jersey City. No injuries were reported however, six occupants were relocated by the Red Cross. The fire started on the first floor rear bedroom and the cause remains under investigation.

On July 21st at around 9:19 p.m., Bayonne Police arrested 25-year-old Damian Greiner for allegedly burglarizing a home on West 36th Street. Grenier used a lady and removed $200 worth of items from the home. He was charged with burglary, theft, and possession of burglar tools and transported to Hudson County Jail with a bail of $25,000 with a 10% option.

On July 21st at around 6:59 p.m., Hoboken Police arrested 55-year-old Pablo Hernandez for allegedly shoplifting $121.23 worth of items from Kings Supermarket. He was released on a summons and scheduled to appear in court on July 25th.

At around 7:11 p.m., Bayonne Police arrested 38-year-old Julien Taylor IV of West Palm Beach, FL, for allegedly shoplifting $202 worth of items from Shop Rite. He was charged with shoplifting and transported to Hudson County Jail with a bail of $10,000 with a 10% option.

At around 10:39 p.m., Bayonne Police arrested 26-year-old Ronald B. Harriprasad of Jersey City for allegedly possessing suspected marijuana. The arrest occurred in the area of 34th Street and Kennedy Boulevard. He was charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of Yeshiva Gedolah School, and possession of paraphernalia.

On July 23rd at around at around 2:22 p.m., Hoboken Police arrested 46-year-old Jersey City resident Nicholas Rosato for allegedly shoplifting from CVS. Rosato allegedly entered the CVS at 59 Newark Street and concealed 36 boxes of brand new condoms in his backpack, a value of $131.78. The store’s loss prevention officer observed the theft and stopped Rosato before he could leave the store. Rosato was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting. He was released on a summons.

At around 8:35 p.m., Hoboken Police arrested 48-year-old Hoboken resident Anna Cordero for allegedly shoplifting from CVS. Cordero entered the CVS at 811 Clinton Street and concealed $97.17 worth of items in her bag, reports say. The manager observed the theft and when he confronted Cordero, she dropped the bag and left the store. Inside the bag were the stolen items and a photo identification card with her address. Cordero was arrested at her home and charged with shoplifting. She was released on summons.

At around 9:33 p.m., Bayonne Police arrested 36-year-old Edgardo Feliciano for allegedly driving while intoxicated while in possession of suspected marijuana, according to officials. Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for suspected driving while intoxicated after Felianco overturned his vehicle while making a turn. When Police arrived, he was standing next to his vehicle. He was transported to Bayonne Medical Center for minor injuries. He was issued a summons for CDS in a motor vehicle, careless driving, failure to exhibit registration, and failure to exhibit insurance. He was later released on a summons.

At round 10:49 p.m., Hoboken Police arrested 50-year-old Milburn resident Maria I. Serranodelpena for driving while intoxicated in a school zone and reckless driving. She was stopped by Police in the area of 2 Marine View Plaza after she failed to completely stop at a red light while making a right turn at a high rate of speed, the report says. Serranodelpena failed field sobriety tests, was placed under arrest, and later released on summons.
