Congratulations to Celin Valdivia and his 7 relatives that all have jobs at the Union City Board of Education.

Once again, Democracy has triumphed in Union City.

          Brief Description:

          Experience not required but preferred.

            Garry,

I suggest you let UCCCG handle those inquiries. It looks like they have plenty of political cover and can avoid any serious repurcussions.

Were you to begin questioning him, Stack might consider you a spy and challenge you to a fist fight. Or, he’ll have shady characters waiting at your door step as you come home, advising you to “stay away from Union City.”

Just be careful. This guy likes to play dirty.

  2. Mr.Johnson

Strangler, Irizzary has left the room, now enters Valdivia and
let’s see what he has to offer.
And by the way he has more family members then that, what about
    Julia’s daughters?
Strangler sometimes I worry about you

    1. Union City Strangler

      Mr. Johnson,

My sources tell me there are about 18 of them on the city payroll, but this is all the corroborating evidence i could find to support what might be considered a low estimate.

Lets not kid ourselves here. He was out the door years ago, vowing to exact revenge, before Stack found him a new home at the Board of Ed.

He’s not going to offer anything that isn’t preapproved by his master. Stack is big on groupthink–everyone should agree on everything, all the time–and won’t tolerate creative conflicts.

Stack has a raging inferiority complex. I wasn’t expecting any Harvard scholars to be in the running to replace Irizarry.

All we’re seeing is a brown noser moving up the chain of command. Nothing more to report here.

  3. Mr.Johnson

Strangler, You can’t balme Mr Valdivia for taking this position, a
town where him and many relatives still live and work.
Mr. Valdivia good luck and make us residents proud of you!

  4. Union City Strangler

    Which one’s next?

Is it Tilo Rivas or Lucio Fernandez?

The latest scuttlebutt is that one of these two is seriously considering throwing in the towel.

Of course, this could just be a “rumor” (quoting Stack from just 1 month ago regarding Irizarry’s imminent resignation).

I’d think whomever it is, would just opt out of running in the next election cycle.

  5. Union City Strangler

One theory holds that Irizarry’s contract is up this year and since the NHCAC board is now largely comprised of Sacco people, there was a real possibility that his services would no longer be required.

Its very easy to justify the search for a new CEO. Irizarry is not the brighest candle in the church. And for the money he was commanding, there would be no trouble filling his spot.

While this may all amount to a plausible reason, it just doesn’t pass the smell test.

Why the RUSH to resign and move to Florida?

    Some factors:

Irizarry is an involved party in the Stack assault case. The Mayor isn’t being charged with a felony, so it has to be something more compelling.

Here’s an oldie but a goodie:

FEDERAL AS OPPOSED TO STATE CONCERNS

Has Irizarry been subpoenaed by the feds or a grand jury?

    THE COMPANY LINE

Perhaps, in the end, him and his wife have been able to save up enough money to comfortably semi-retire while they’re young.

Sometimes the simplest answer is the correct answer.

If we see the FBI snooping around City Hall again in the next few months, then we’ll know that Irizarry was leaving out some details.

This one is going on the backburner for now.

  6. Union City Strangler

There is some speculation that Chris Irizarry may have cheated on his wife with his secretary.

Nothing has been confirmed yet, but this story does fit together with the escape to Florida narrative.

      1. Union City Strangler

        Garry,

My sources actually work or have worked with Mr. Irizarry.

Your sources consist of: The Jerkey Journal, The Hudson Distorter, and whatever Wainstein, Blanch, and Stack are promoting in the marketplace of ideas.

Irizarry has been cheating on his wife for quite some time. Adultery is not an indictable offense, so its hard to imagine that he would give up $200,000 to be with his family, simply because he’s been unfaithful and she was considering filing for a divorce.

I could be wrong, but i think there is a lot more than just marital indiscretions motivating his decision to resign.

About a month ago, Stack and Irizarry were questoned by Frank Alonso at a commission meeting. The talk around town was that Irizarry would be resigning. Stack stated that he would not comment on any rumor. Irizarry was seen making absurd facial gestures in response to Alonso’s question.

        1. garry pollack

i R vouching for Mr Alonso here. Bumped into him @ Shop Rite w/his son & a female person…wife or girlfriend, i don’t know. Our only chit chat was about politics…

          1. All About Town

Mr. Pollack this is the second time you defend Mr. Alonso are you have a change of heart on Mr. Alonso?

      1. garry pollack

UCS, Politics makes strange bed fellows!
        I thought U had me “shlufing” w/Brian.
        & betwixt & between over Mario & Eric…
I guess my campaign platform shud be sex, drugs & rock & roll according to U, nu?
i guess UCS outed us, Z!!!

  7. No Fatties Allowed

Mr. Alonso gives me the creeps! He is a frustrated and vindictive individual with no true purpose in life. Garry you can vouch all you want for Frank Alonso but it still doesn’t change my opinion about him. He is a wanna be who could never be! He sold his soul for a few bucks and a No Show county job.

  8. Union City Strangler

Numerous sources at NHCAC confirm that Irizarry had multiple affairs (more than one) while heading the agency.

These same sources are not entirely sure why he was so eager to resign.

Augie Torres will have his readership believe that Irizarry quit because Stack is a workaholic and it was just too much pressure for poor Chris.

    Mr. Irizarry

You need to stick around for a while. You’ve been subpoenaed in the Stack assault case, and it wouldn’t look good for the Mayor if you go all incommunicado down in Florida.

  9. Mr.Johnson

How did Frank Alonso enter this discussion with his no-show employement.
The question should be who’s his boss and who hired him?
Also maybe Frank Alonso’s looking for the job at NHCAC

  10. All About Town

Mr. Pollack did you notice if the female person was commissioner Martinetti? There’s a rumor that Mr. Alonso is having an affair with her. As to his no show job i thought that was Stacks doing to buy him off.

      1. Union City Strangler

        Garry,

Don’t get too excited about this latest revelation.

You’re letting it be known that you wish to “pump” Chris Irizarry.

        Don’t be so Garish, Garry.

          1. Union City Strangler

            Garry,

Ok, i see whom you were referring to in that post.

So you were chatting it up with Frank Alonso at a supermarket and now you want to “pump” him.

PS I’m just messing with you Garry. You are in fact, fighting a just cause in North Bergen, however, in Union City, you’re supporting a corrupt administration.

Stack had his political opponents arrested for distributing flyers during his last mayoral run.

The only facial differences between Stack and Sacco is that Stack does an excellent job of pretending that he cares about the community, whereas Sacco is smugly indifferent. Other than that, both esentially have more in common than meets the eye.

The real problem we have is a want of viable alternatives. Wainstein is terrible. North Bergen would be better off with the Citizens for Change movement.
