Veteran’s Memorial within Braddock Park officially opens

Today was the official ribbon cutting of the Veteran’s Memorial within North Bergen’s Braddock Park.

This area of the park, which was formerly known as “the dust bowl”, has been completely transformed. Everyone in attendance seemed thrilled with the new memorial and didn’t mind braving the cold.

The memorial located at the north entrance of Braddock Park, has a section that recognizes each branch of the military. According to Freeholder Anthony Vainieri this park is something “everyone’s been waiting for.”

“They beautified the whole area, so it’s going to be great, this is where we’ll have our Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day services I’m sure,” said veteran David Kronick.
